Charakteristics and history: politics, history, sciences, law, art literature and philosophy. The library was purchased into the Library of Congress collections in 1815. During the large fire in 1851, when many of the volumes were damaged is the rest of the books located in the rare books collection. Books are written in English and  Latin. In some of them are hand written notes.
